SINGfest update, assholes!
HAHAHA. It was effing awesome. I met up with Seren, Selig, Wid and Zach, then we made our way to the venue, and we reached at about 2.40pm after a mini-hike. Fort Canning Green is a great place to hold gigs I tell you. We then met up with Sab, Lun and Pearlyn. HULLO CRAZY PEOPLE. We totally went nuts together. K, the lineup went like this: Great Spy, One Buck Short, Crowned King, Cobra Starship, The Academy Is..., Gym Class Heroes, Avenged Sevenfold, Noisettes, MxPx then finally Hinder. Oh, not forgetting the weird Eyecandy Twins. Seriously, hulloooo? Were they even thinking when they thought of their name? Sheesh. And they hail from UK. I thought the English knew better! HAHA, okay just kidding.
Anyway! We came in time for One Buck Short. We heard a bit of Great Spy outside the venue. HAHAHA. One Buck Short's not bad, it's just a pity I don't understand the Malay language. Crowned King was really effing good. The whole band was so tight. And I found out that caucasians get sunburnt very easily. I saw so many who had totally red and raw backs. YOUCH. I feel for them. Anyway, Crowned King has this whole.. fusion thing going on. I mean, a trombone? With electric guitars, bass, drums, and vocals?! Gahhhh.. They came by last year too, and did a show with Saw Loser. HAHA. Oh well.
Cobra Starship. Oh COBRA STARSHIP. HAHAHA. They were really entertaining. Gabe is such a joker, I swear. He's really entertaining to watch. His antics are really interesting, you have to see them for yourself. HAHA.
THE ACADEMY IS...! HAHAHA. Oh gosh! Where do I start! They kicked off their set with We've got a big mess on our hands. It was really good. The real thing is always better than the record. It was so worth it dooood. William wore hot pink underwear. -.- And Lun was taking pictures like mad. HAHAHA. She melted when he winked at her. ... Or did he? (AND SHE'S SAYING RIGHT NOW THAT HE REALLY DID SMILE AND WINK AT HER.) HAHAHA. I was telling Selig we should've brought chicken caboodles for The Butcher and a banner for William. HAHA.
Gym Class was all right I guess. I've never really heard their stuff before. HAHA. Think hip/hop fused with Indie-ish tunes. YEAH. HAHA, That's right!
Avenged Sevenfold. OH A7X! Holy Crapamoley. Almost everyone rushed to the front. I swear. Everyone sang along to their songs and moshed hard and surfed during their set. I thought they'd sound weird live, but they sounded really good.
The Noisettes. I didn't stay at the venue for their set, but the frontlady sure has a mighty set of lungs. She can sing, dude! Seriously!
MxPx. Heart-stopping drums. Pounding bass. Rhythmic guitar. NEED I SAY MORE?! MxPx has a wicked sound.
Too bad I didn't stay for Hinder. I don't really listen to them anyway, so it's not much of a loss. But it would've been awesome to stay for the full length of the event.
Standing back and just enjoying the music is really cool, I tell you. Even if you're not a fan of moshing and surfing, you would've still had a great time, I swear. You would've felt right at home. Fiddlesticks. This all seemed so surreal. It seriously felt like it was a dream. I'm so amazed that all these bands are actually really great friends. It's just so cool, to sing for each other, and to sing with each other. They share common passion and goals I guess. All these bands should swing by here and add this location to one of their venues for their headlining tours, damnit!
OKAY. FLOWERS OH FLOWERS. Thanks for the surprise =) I was truly surprised. Let's hang out more oftennnnn!
ECH. Thanks for the 'surprise' ! HAHA even if it didn't go as you guys expected, at least Abby was still quite surprised. =DDD

Well, HAHA, I'm back.
Friday was a great day. We played games during Play and Motor Skills, I swear I've never had so much fun during Play before. HAHA. After Play, we had CD. The quiz was crap, and my grades for the assignments were crap. That just about killed my day. After that, I met up with Samsie! Just to say HIIII. And then I went to meet Vic at Seren Centre. It was great catching up with you, girly. Let's do it some time soon. Yes! Then we went to Toa Payoh for Councillors' '06 gathering. It was so fun, I miss it. But of course, everyone has changed. It's inevitable. But well, we all had a good time. Thanks everyone, for EMBARRASSING ME BY SINGING SO LOUDLY. Everyone knows I'm old now! =( HAHAHA. I have a complex, I swear. Yes! and I got home. Thanks Seren and Moss, for going through the trouble of getting the card done. I love it! Council juniors! I love the card, damnit! Thank you so much! =) Thanks Sin Yee =DDD.
Yesterday was yet, another great day. Spent it with Thumbs, Seren, Bow, Selig, Audrey, and Alicia. Thanks for the 'surprise' guys. As much as you people didn't manage to pull it off, I appreciate it all the same. = ) I had lunch with them at Fish and Co, then Alicia went off for tuition. Seren went for a doc's appointment and met us after the movie. The rest of us watched The Simpson's Movie! It was so freaking lame and random, I loved it. 'Spider-pig! Spider-pig! Does whatever a Spider-pig does!' HAHAHA. It's good brainless humour that's good for you every once in awhile =DDD. I miss hanging out with everyone. Secondary school seems so far away now. Ah well, we can't win them all.
Hey you people, thanks for taking time off to spend your afternoon with me. I miss hanging out =(
Dear Bow, thanks for the portrait of Moo. I love it. And thank you so much for the message, it is really sweet of you. I'll never give up on our friendship, I swear on Molly and Spooky's lives! =)
After hanging out with those guys, I headed over to Gracie's place with Danie, Titus, Silas and Bertie. Gabriel picked us up from Buono Vista. Wow, their place is so cosy, I wouldn't mind parking myself there forever. Pee and Izzy was there already, those stupid early birds. We were right on time damnit! Grrr. We talked, and just hung out. Isaac, David, Thomas and Thomas' friend swung by at about 8-ish, 9. They reminisced about church stuff, but I was laughing along with them, cos it sounded so hilarious, and their accounts were just that funny! Their re-enactments were just.. Wow. Seriously. There was so much teasing, and making fun of people who weren't there, and just talking about 'THOSE' days. It was just awesome, I tell you. Thanks Gracie and Gabe for having us over! =)
Well, then it was time to head back home at 11-ish. Isaac dropped me off at CCK. Turned out he lives pretty near the area. I have to tell you! I love his car. It's a beetle, it's so old-skool and it feels so good to have to wind down the windows and feel the night air whipping at your face, and messing your hair up. Even though we don't really know each other, we still found things to talk about. Like movies, school, music, what we enjoy. It felt great to make a new friend.
Well, I needed this today, you guys. Thank you so much for everything.
